New General Secretary

The Nordic Union of Hotel, Restaurant, Catering and Tourism workers has appointed Jens-Petter Hagen to succeed Kristjan Bragason as General Secretary.

Jens-Petter Hagen, who is a trained chef, comes from Norway and has worked for the trade union movement since 1992.

Over the years he has worked with various issues related to the HRCT sector. He started as a regional secretary and later information manager for the Hotel and Restaurant Association, which merged into Fellesforbundet in 2007. Since the Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Association joined the Fellesforbundet, Jens-Petters primary responsibility has been collective bargaining in the hospitality sector and developing tourism policy for Fellesforbundet.

Jens-Petter has also been actively involved in international work both in NU HRCT, EFFAT and IUF, and therefore has good knowledge of various issues, work and campaigns related to our work.

In addition to working in the trade union movement, Jens-Petter has also been active as a politician at the local and regional level in Norway.
